Grand City Tour

Grand City Tour - Passing by the Parliament the guests cross the Danube through the Margaret-Bridge (Margaret-Island) and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side, where they visit the Fishermen’s Bastion (Promenade) and the Matthias Church after they climb to the Gellért Hill (Photostop), cross Elisabeth-Bridge and drive towards Heroes’ Square (Promenade). Passing by the Opera and St. Stephen’s Basilica the guests reach Hotel InterContinental, where the tour ends.

Parliament Tour

Gödöllö Royal Tour

Gödöllő, the 18th century central estate of the Grassalkovich counts, and transferred to the ownership of the king in 1867. The beloved queen of Hungarians, „Sissi”, enjoyed staying at the royal castle, it is an outstanding example of Central European baroque architecture. Today, the Castle Museum opens its doors to thousand of visitors.

Excursion to Gödöllő - Visit to the former Summer-Residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sissi) in Gödöllő (the second largest baroque chateau of the world) - interior visit -coffee & cake at the Palace Café. Return to Budapest - Tour ends at the city centre.

Etyek Wine Tour

 

The wine district of Etyek lies 176 meters above the sea level, located at the north-east border of the County Fejér near the capital city of Hungary, only 26 km from Budapest. Etyek has 3700 inhabitants.
Historically, the grapes grown here have been used for the production of sparkling wine and champagne. Grape is grown on a 800 ha area. The Törley sparkling wine is made from the excellent Chardonnay grapes of Etyek, a region with endowments similar to Champagne. Wines from Etyek: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot etc. gris are becoming more and more popular.

Wine tasting - we drive to the Haraszthy Vallejo Cellar (Etyek) - enjoy the view on Etyek Buda Hill in the wonderful surrounding - tasty wines from the best wine-growing areas - meanwhile wine-snacks are served - after wine-tasting you have the possibility to purchase a bottle from the tasted wines - return to Budapest, tour ends at the Hotel InterContinental.

Puszta Program

 

The Southern Great Plain tourist region is the sunniest, warmest part of Hungary. It is the land of broad rivers, the land of the Danube, the Tisza, the Maros and the Körös rivers. It is the region of alkaline lakes containing unequalled natural resources. It is a paradise for lovers of fishing and water sports. It is the meeting point for those devoted to horseback tours, village and farm excursions. It is the „Mecca” of those seeking healing and regeneration, thanks to its vast array of inexhaustible thermal springs. All these are part of the Southern Great Plain. National parks and nature reserves draw travelers with their bird sanctuaries, all waiting to be discovered. Intermingling sand dunes blend into each other, and natural atmosphere of intact grasslands, reeds, the unaffected world of backwaters, tiny white farms, well-kept pastures, and rolling wheat fields provide a unique scene for those visiting there.
Kecskemét is the largest town in the region between the Danube and the Tisza. Historical monuments, thriving intellectual life, a wealth of cultural programs, a creative workshop unique in the country, horse-riding, delicious apricots, vineyards, nature reserves - this is Kecskemét in a nutshell.

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta - we drive to Kecskemét, (guided walk) and further on to Lajosmizse, where you are welcomed with a traditional Welcome Drink after the great performance of the famous horsemen and a carriage ride through the Puszta - a typical Hungarian meal (3-course Menu with wine) is served in the „csárda” in the accompaniment of gipsy music. The tour ends in Budapest.

Herend and Lake Balaton

Herend, where visitors can admire delicate masterpieces of the porcelain factory established over 150 years ago. The tradition of painting the highly successful patterns and making the statuettes is passed down from father to son. The renewed Victoria pattern, the Art Nouveau and Hungarian - style motifs are all hand painted. Lake Balaton, the largest fresh - water lake in Central Europe, lies at the foot of the volcanic hills of the Balaton Uplands. From April to the end of September the lake is ideal for family holidays, angling, sailing and windsurfing.

Herend, world-famous town of Porcelain - after a guided tour through the world largest porcelain manufactory, (founded in 1826), coffee at the ’Porcelanium’ - possibility for shopping, - afterwards we drive to the Peninsula Tihany, the famous nature reserve, (interior visit of the Abbey, founded in 1051) - then lunch in a traditional Csárda, (3-course menu with wine) - drive to the oldest spa, Balatonfüred, (Promenade) - return to Budapest - tour ends at the hotel.
