Studytour for musiclovers - one of the several opportunities

Program:

 

1st day

Arrival in Budapest; Welcome Drink on the top of the Gell?rt hill

 

2nd day

Breakfast and dinner in the hotel. A daylong sightseeing tour in Budapest: visiting the nicest sights, like the Castle district, Fishermen?s Bastion, Matthias Church, Gell?rt hill with the Citadell, Heroes? Square, City Park, Downtown with the Danube promenade. An hour long guided tour in the houses of Parliament including the visiting of the Hungarian Crown.

 

3rd day

Half board in the hotel. In the morning visiting the old Academy of Music and the Ferenc Liszt Museum afterwards a visit in the Ferenc Liszt Academy (the rooms of B?la Bart?k and Leo Weiner); an expos? about Hungarian Music and a private concert given by the Ensemble of ?Sir George Solti?; In the afternoon visiting the National Museum; an expos? about Hungarian History.

 

4th day

After the breakfast a journey to Kecskem?t; a visit in the world-famous Kod?ly Institute, where the world-wide taught method will be shown to you; in the evening visiting the programme of the Folklore Ensemble

 

5th day

Half board in the hotel, Guided tour in the Hungarian Opera-house (this nice renaissance building is in a competition with the Opera-house in Vienna according to its beauty), in the afternoon you take part on a Concert in the house where the world-famous composer B?la Bart?k lived.

 

6th day

A full-day programme to the Danube bend, a journey to Esztergom, (the former capital of Hungary, seat of the Catholic Church), visiting the Cathedral and the Treasury, taking part on the knights' tournament and a lunch ? la Renaissance in Visegr?d, in the afternoon visiting the nice artists? town Szentendre (Ceramics Museum), from Szentendre a journey by a special boat back to Budapest with a promenade boat tour; Buffet dinner on the boat.

 

7th day

Breakfast, departure.
